Trip to Dog Mountain

One of the many amazing spots I have found in Oregon was Dog Mountain. This hike came up when I was searching hikes for wildflowers.

Go to this site for more information and directions:

On your trip a great place to stop in for a bite to eat is Multnomah Falls Lodge.

I was extremely impressed with the Elk Burger. You may learn by following me that I am very fond of hamburgers. Good ones at least. There fries were spectacular as well. It's like they just cut a potato into wedges and put them in the oven. Along with some rosemary seasoning. Yum!!

If you aren't hiked out you could always hike up the Multnomah waterfall by the restaurant or enjoy the view from below.

And be sure to keep your eyes pealed on the way back for the sunset on the Columbia River Gorge.

Trip to Paradise

"You can live a whole life time never being awake."

~ Dan Millman

One of my friends told me what could be better then ending your day in paradise? Well I never really thought of it that way but yes what would be better then that. Even though paradise is the name of an area of Mt. Rainer National Park it really is Paradise.

As I take off on the road on a trip many people would consider ludicrous, I just try to enjoy the moment. Taking in the beauty of my surroundings. Sometimes we get do caught up in where we are going and what we are doing we miss the journey. I am guilty of it. But with ease I continue to bring myself back to this moment. Since really that is the only one that matters.

Life is too short

Do you ever find yourself saying, I wish I could go there? Well guess what you probably can. When there is a will there is a way and I have decided that my life is too short to continue to make excuses. So here I start my exploring the world and outdoor adventures. Living in the Northwest there is probably enough hikes to last me a life time. So off I go. This blog is a way for you to follow my journey and maybe come up with a few places you might like to go as well.
